First steps to legal concerns
Some events raise legal questions. A divorce, a conflict at work or concerns about parental authority can cause a lot of uncertainty.
Our social workers and lawyers listen, explain clearly what the options are, and help employees take the right first steps.
No formal intervention or lengthy procedures, but clear, human guidance that brings direction and peace during a difficult time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do we support in legal challenges?
Legal support is offered as brief, practical consultations, usually following the same format as our regular coaching: sessions of 10 to 30 minutes, by phone or video call, supervised by a social worker or lawyer. Follow-up hours may be added if necessary.
BloomUp provides legal support around practical work and life questions that employees encounter. The focus is on clarity, guidance and emotional peace in situations that have both legal and personal impact.
Our approach includes:
- Brief legal advice and referrals to specialized lawyers, including in employment law, family law and dismissal issues.
- Administrative and practical guidance, for example in preparing or filing documents and understanding procedures, always in close cooperation with social workers.
- Legal triage and linkage to therapy, coaching or mediation when the situation appears more complex.
- Telephonic and online access to initial consultations and the ability to schedule an appointment directly with a lawyer or outside partner.
- Confidential follow-up, with reporting at aggregate level to employer. Individual files remain strictly confidential.
Legal support does not include legal representation, procedural guidance or drafting of legal documents.
Employees can receive an initial triage through matching, early detection or a telephone intake. If this reveals a need for legal support, the employee will receive a proposal for referral to legal coaching. Therapists, social workers, managers or HR can also request a referral.
After the referral, BloomUp organizes an intake with the legal coach. During this short conversation, the request for help and goals are established. Together with the employee, the coach determines the follow-up process, duration and number of sessions.
All steps are only based on the employee's explicit consent. Employers receive only aggregated, anonymous progress data. The average response time for an intake is several days; faster action is taken in cases of urgency.
Legal support is offered by social workers in collaboration with lawyers. Together, they help employees gain clarity about their situation and take the right steps when faced with legal questions or challenges.
BloomUp provides guidance and advice in this regard, but does not provide an attorney itself. If specialized representation is needed, the employee is warmly referred to the appropriate external partner. Thus, assistance does not include legal representation, procedural guidance or drafting of legal documents.
Practice shows that legal processes often go hand in hand with therapeutic and administrative support. BloomUp ensures the right connection between these domains so that employees are helped in all areas.
Where necessary, our professionals coordinate cooperation between lawyers, social workers and psychologists or coaches. In complex cases, a multidisciplinary follow-up process is set up, taking into account both the practical and the emotional side of the situation.
BloomUp also offers integrated aftercare so that legal action, practical help and psychological counseling are seamlessly integrated. In this way, the employee not only receives advice, but also peace of mind and support during an often difficult period.
Employers receive aggregate, anonymous reporting on the use of legal support. These insights appear in the real-time dashboard and in quarterly or annual reports. Individual files remain strictly confidential.
Legal support is standard in BloomUp's EAP+ across all possible plans.
