Why do employees use classic EAPs so little?

Do you have enough psychologists to supervise our employees?

Yes, there is ample capacity to supervise all employees.

BloomUp has a network of approximately 170+ licensed online clinical psychologists and therapists spread across Belgium and Luxembourg. In addition, we cooperate with POBOS, which has more than 260+ licensed clinical psychologists in its network for offline therapy.

Together we form a comprehensive and flexible team that allows for quick matching based on language, specialization and availability, ensuring that employees receive the right support in a timely manner. Both online and physically.

Are complex cases billed separately or fall within existing EAP+ plans?

Most pathways fall within the EAP+ package.

That plan includes a set number of hours for coaching, therapy and standard aftercare. In most cases, this basic care covers what an employee needs.

When the situation is more complex or requires more follow-up, together we consider how best to address it. Think of extra sessions, long-term multidisciplinary processes, on-site interventions or specialized guidance such as smoking cessation or addiction care. In that case, we first coordinate the necessary support and the corresponding budget with HR.

In practice:
Each organization receives a basic bundle within its plan. If additional assistance is needed, we make a customized proposal. BloomUp then provides a transparent quote that HR can approve for start-up.

Example:
An wants to quit smoking and contacts BloomUp. She is matched with an expert in smoking cessation counseling. The employer provides six hours of counseling per year, but the process requires at least eight hours. In this case, both An and her counselor can ask through BloomUp to contact HR and add additional hours to the trajectory.
