Did you know that most Belgian health insurance providers offer reimbursement for your sessions at BloomUp? We’ve summarized the amounts, conditions, and application process for 2026.
Practical reimbursement
CM and Helan work directly with BloomUp. If you are a member of either of these health insurance plans, we will automatically process your reimbursement. For other health insurance plans, you can also submit a claim form to have your session reimbursed.
€20 per session · up to €400 per year
As a CM member, you’ll receive a reimbursement of €20 per session on BloomUp (or €30 with the increased reimbursement). For young people, this amounts to up to €700 per year. You simply provide your national ID number once, and we’ll take care of the rest automatically.

€10 per call · up to €120 per year
As a Helan member, you’ll receive a €10 reimbursement per session with BloomUp, up to 12 sessions per year. This benefit applies to consultations not covered by statutory health insurance. Start your program via My Helan so that the offer is automatically activated.

Independent Health Insurance Fund
€20 per session, up to 20 sessions per year with no age restrictions. Submit your claim via My Partenamut.
Socialist Health Insurance Fund
€10 per session for adults (€15 with increased reimbursement), up to 12 sessions per year.
Liberal Health Insurance Fund
€20 per session, up to about 8 sessions per year. Can be combined with the mindfulness subsidy.
Neutral Health Insurance Fund Flanders
€15 per session, up to 15 sessions per year. Submit your claim via Jouw NZVL.
Flemish and Neutral Health Insurance Fund
€10 per session for adults, €20 for children. Maximum of €150 per year.
Supplementary Fund for Health and Disability Insurance
No additional coverage. Only statutory primary psychological care through the RIZIV network.
Prices apply to adults without an increased reimbursement, unless otherwise stated. All BloomUp psychologists are accredited by the Psychologists’ Commission and hold an RIZIV license, so your sessions are always eligible for reimbursement from your health insurance fund.
Here's how it works
You don't have to look anything up or print anything out yourself. We'll make sure your reimbursement goes to the right place, so you can focus on your interviews.
Answer a few questions and choose from three psychologists who are a good fit for you. You can book a free 15-minute introductory session right away.
You pay the full amount to BloomUp in advance. A 30-minute coaching session costs an average of €37.50, and a 50-minute therapy session costs an average of €75.
For CM and Helan members, we process the reimbursement automatically. For other health insurance funds, you will receive a certificate that you must submit yourself. The amount will be deposited into your account within 2 to 3 weeks.

You pay the full cost of your session to BloomUp in advance. For CM and Helan, you simply provide your national ID number once, and we’ll handle everything with the health insurance fund. Yes, you pay for your appointment in advance via the BloomUp platform. This ensures a smooth process and allows the entire process with your health insurance provider to be handled automatically. Your reimbursement will then be deposited into your bank account.
Yes. You can combine the reimbursement from your health insurance fund with any outpatient or group insurance provided through your employer. First, apply for the benefit through your health insurance fund, and then request a certificate from BloomUp to submit to your employer’s insurance provider.
The coaching offered on BloomUp is provided by the same licensed clinical psychologists and is a shorter form of counseling. This means that coaching sessions are also eligible for reimbursement, provided that your health insurance plan covers sessions with a licensed psychologist.
Most Belgian health insurance plans offer coverage for psychological counseling provided by licensed psychologists. If your health insurance plan isn’t listed here, we recommend checking their website directly under “psychological care” or “reimbursements.” Since all of our psychologists are licensed, you’ll be eligible for coverage if your health insurance plan offers this benefit.
The RIZIV covers primary psychological care at a rate of €11 per session (€4 with an increased reimbursement, free for young people up to age 23) through psychologists affiliated with a network of contracted providers. BloomUp psychologists work in their own private practices, so that regulation does not apply there. For most health insurance funds, the supplementary reimbursement is specifically intended for sessions outside that statutory network.
