What are the requirements to join BloomUp?
To ensure the quality of care on BloomUp:
BloomUp is looking for clinical psychologists in possession of an accreditation document from the agency care & health
BloomUp is looking for licensed psychotherapists who meet the accreditation requirements of the FPS
BloomUp requires each professional to follow supervision based on years of practical experience:
< 1 year: 2 x per month
1 to 3 years: 1 x per quarter
> 3 years: 1 x per year
How does BloomUp work?
Why is BloomUp more suitable than ZOOM or Whatsapp for video consultations?
Where Zoom and Whatsapp can be good alternatives for general video calls, they are discouraged by the FPS for professional use. With BloomUp we create a secure and customized platform for psychologists and psychotherapists, where you can reach new clients and schedule appointments.
How secure is BloomUp?
Can I use my own client base through BloomUp?
Yes, as a professional you can schedule consultations with your current client base.
Can I choose which user to talk to?
We find it extremely important that users can be helped as quickly as possible and therefore provide a simple matching procedure. Based on a number of short questions that the user fills in, he can decide with whom he will talk. You cannot decide who can book an introductory meeting, but we do take your specializations into account to direct clients to you.
What does it cost to use BloomUp?
We opted for a transparent and simple cost system. You pay €6 to BloomUp per paid therapy conversation, regardless of your own rate per consultation. For this you can use a secure video consultation platform that connects you with new clients. So you only pay when you use BloomUp, which allows you to work flexibly without high fixed costs.
BloomUp also works with companies. When you guide employees who come to BloomUp through their employer, the cost of €6 does not apply. In that case you will receive a standard €60 per consultation.
How does the payment via BloomUp work?
You don't have to worry about the payments, this is done easily via BloomUp! Your client pays for the session in advance via our platform. This can be done via various payment methods: QR code, mobile banking app, Paypal, Mollie or bank transfer. BloomUp automatically records the number of sessions performed and pays them monthly. From this amount we deduct the cost for using BloomUp (= number of paid calls x €6). You will also receive a document for your accounting. So you don't have to do anything, very simple!
Good to know: we have a cancellation policy of 24 hours. If a client cancels without a valid reason within 24 hours before a consultation, this will be charged. This amount will of course come to you.
What rates can I use?
The first meeting is intended as an introductory meeting. This means that there is no formal intake or form of therapy yet. The purpose of this conversation is to lower the barrier to the client so that they can immediately go somewhere with their problems and to inform him/her about what counseling entails.
Clients can sign up directly through our website or come to BloomUp through their employer.
When they register via our website, you choose your own rate for the follow-up calls.
When they come through their employer, you receive a standard rate of €60/consultation.
How do I prepare for a video consultation?
After registering on the platform, you will receive a manual with tips and tricks to make the video consultation run as smoothly as possible.
What does the first free call entail?
The first meeting is intended as an introductory meeting. This means that there is no formal intake or form of therapy yet. The purpose of this conversation is to lower the barrier to the client so that they can immediately go somewhere with their problems and to inform him/her about what counseling entails. It is communicated to the client that this conversation will take approximately 15 minutes. When you and the client have a good feeling about the first introductory meeting, you can immediately schedule a follow-up meeting on BloomUp.
Is there a minimum availability expected on the platform?
You are not required to be available for a minimum number of hours and there is no limit to the use of the platform. When you make yourself available, we expect you to record a new introductory meeting within 7 days and to schedule a first therapy meeting within 7 days after the first introductory meeting. You can use BloomUp wherever and whenever you want. Ideal if you often have space in your agenda or the ambition to focus more on online therapy.
